Delphi
Dishes
held in hands
woven in snow…
eclipsed in Spring moon
reaching
toward…..
lifting …
offering
blue porcelain at Delphi
Those hands
are your hands…
moving in space …
themselves lofty gods
of strength
and tenderness
Quiet reflections
sprinkled about my head
as I
drift
Where is my Oracle…
my god?
Demeters despair and rage…
headless
beings…
laughter…
belly buttons…
sex and trees…
lost in deserts
of colour….
cool oasis…
your smile
The bus stops…
smoky traffic
I leave...
and walk
to the...
factory
Two
Women
poems two women
Silhouette
at sunset
Two women fly into midnight
defy celebration and
dance rhythms
yet to become
they plunder the gold
that is their soul
and
like
the alchemist
return to the cauldron
of mystery
Sweat, skin, sinew,
swim
in the labyrinth of innocence
Flutes play a river of calm tunes
in an ocean of possibility
Grace, laughter, creation
In rolled up jeans
and sand covered toes
The singing in your spine
is the celebration
of loving
another
woman.
A
soft quake from the oar of divided waters
The glass tear
a sterile bridge
to a closed
heart
I bequeath my sun's flower
to a different camaraderie
We are neither tear
nor heartache
rainbow or bridge
We are imagined
dreamings
in a manicured mind
of routine
Sublimate the reflection
and find the lake
Imagine the slumbering bridge Imagine too
the throbbing
heart
Imagine crimson lilacs strewn across your stream
Tide appears to
be out
It is in
To whom will you assign
your everything?
Into the shallow grave
of a tiny field mouse
glistening tear falls
on warm flesh
A silent buddha
leaning toward infinity Blessed by
the
Bodhisattva's vow
of a life lived
in love

Remember Sarejevo?
Blood markets, snipers
and rape
Tribal heat
flayed
humanity's soul
Rwanda's hurricane of hate
Iraq
Young men burnt at
the stake
Tests rocked Tahitian azure
in the name of peace
We dump
our shadow
our waste
over there
create an enemy
an "other"
and
rally around the flag
any flag
any religion
any belief
then justify
brutality
let's not put ourselves to death
let's not continue our sleep
too many have died
too many weep
